The Gender Dysphoria Bible is a Living Document that will change over time as new additions and revisions are made to further expand upon the full breadth of Gender Dysphoria. In its current iteration it is severely lacking in non-binary, agender & genderfluid specific dysphoria, as well as Third Gender and Two-Spirit narratives. The GDB is an open source and publicly funded project, contributions are extremely welcome.

The presence of a provider on this list is not an endorsement or recommendation of their surgical offerings. Not all surgeons have equal training, experience, or outcomes in transgender surgery. I highly recommend that anyone considering surgery do as many consultations as possible. More surgery information resources are at the end of this list under "resources."

Queering the Map is a community generated counter-mapping platform for digitally archiving LGBTQ2IA+ experience in relation to physical space.
The platform provides an interface to collaboratively record the cartography of queer life—from park benches to the middle of the ocean—in order to preserve our histories and unfolding realities, which continue to be invalidated, contested, and erased. From collective action to stories of coming out, encounters with violence to moments of rapturous love, Queering the Map functions as a living archive of queer life. If it counts to you, then it counts for Queering the Map.
Through mapping LGBTQ2IA+ experience in its intersectional permutations, the project works to generate affinities across difference and beyond borders—revealing the ways in which we are intimately connected.

Chest binding (the practice of using a compression garment to make ones chest flatter) can be an immensely affirming practice especially for trans and non-binary people. The trade-off is sometimes postural changes and chronic pain. This was explored in a 2016 study about chest binding among transgender adults. A D.C.-based massage therapist, Frances Reed, was recently featured in an article in The Washington Post about chronic pain related to chest binding. (If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend Frances and the entire team at Freed Bodyworks!).
Since pain related to chest binding is a concern I get asked about frequently as a massage therapist, I have compiled some resources below. Please feel free to contact me with feedback or further resources I should add to this list!
